"Go wild - freak out" is the motto of the seventeenth NATURE ONE and so the undisguised invitation to have lots of fun over a long festival weekend. 300 DJs from around the world will be coming to the Pydna missile base in Rhineland-Palatinate from 5 to 7 August. 23 stages will see the entire compass of electronic music delivered by stars of the scene such as Paul van Dyk, Sven Väth, Sander van Doorn, Dave Clarke and ATB. Over 55,000 visitors are expected. NATURE ONE has always been colourful, cheerful and loud. But now the life spirit of the largest German festival for electronic music is being elevated to the official motto: "Go wild - freak out". For the seventeenth time ravers and festivalgoers from all over Germany and its neighbouring countries will be converging on a decommissioned missile base of the US armed forces in the rolling Hunsrück hills near Kastellaun. Experience shows that their paramount objectives will be having fun partying and meeting lots of old and new friends. And it will be over 55,000 again at the beginning of August (5.-7.8.) who will be casting aside almost all their inhibitions and partying in total peace with each other. It is above all the huge campsite that is notorious, where on an area covering one square kilometre the celebrating will go on for four days and three nights from the "Mixery-Opening" on the Thursday (4.8.). Hundreds of spontaneous mini raves, people dancing on car roofs and crazy outfits make the Hunsrück meadows the merriest campsite in the world. "Many say it's more colourful than Carnival and more exciting than a safari", can be found in the official event booklet. There's at least just as much waiting to be discovered on the festival site itself, with a total of 23 stages in marquees, on or in the bunkers, or open air offering the kind of variety which can hardly be found at any other festival. The vibes run the full gamut from club atmosphere to true festival feeling. And a "new feeling" will set in this year even with seasoned NATURE ONE visitors: the "Century Circus", one of the main stages, is changing places with the "Classic Terminal" and will be enlarged to cover an area of 3,500 square metres. "The revamp will help to ease things here and there. And it's simply nicer too. NATURE ONE is changing its look a bit," is how Oliver Vordemvenne of event organiser I-Motion confidently sees it.
The line-up comprises over 300 artists, many of them appearing on the 19 club floors run by other organisers, clubs and labels. Here as well, fresh winds are blowing over the Pydna missile base and bringing four new floor operators: the radio show "DASDING Plattenleger", the successful party-makers "Ostfunk Berlin", the "Hexenhouse" from Bocholt and "Strezzkidz vs. Spielstaub" from Magdeburg. The radio partners DASDING and sunshine live will be on the air live from NATURE ONE, while VIVA and iMusic1 will be screening follow-up reports and features afterwards. more info : www.nature-one.de Running OrderOpen Air Floor

There will be many new faces in the line-up too. Rush (Chicago) and Adam Beyer (Stockholm) are back again after many years. Tiefschwarz (Berlin), Aly&Fila (Cairo), Fritz Kalkbrenner (Berlin) and GTronic (Antwerp) will be celebrating their NATURE ONE premiere, as will numerous others. By way of contrast, Paul van Dyk (Berlin) will be playing for the tenth time in a row at Pydna - that's a record! Other headliners will include Sven Väth (Frankfurt), ATB (Bochum), Ferry Corsten (Rotterdam), Sander van Doorn (Eindhoven), Turntablerocker (Berlin) and Takkyu Ishino (Tokyo).
