Hard Community Fourth SYNDICATE in Dortmund's Westfalenhallen halls on 2 October, with 13,000 visitors expected 13,000 "ambassadors in harder styles" from all over Europe are expected to converge on the Westfalenhallen halls in Dortmund for the fourth edition of SYNDICATE on 2 October. And accompanying them on their travels will be the most successful international acts of the hard-core, hard-techno and hard-style genre, with some 40 artists playing on three areas.SYNDICATE has established itself as the festival for the "tougher types" of electronic music. "Up until four years ago only a few believed in the success of a hard-core festival in Germany. SYNDICATE proves that this scene has been underestimated here", says Oliver Vordemvenne of event organiser I-Motion, who together with the Dutch agency "Art of Dance" stage the festival. With the expertise they have, the two event organisers interface perfectly. While the Germans have enjoyed huge success for years holding major events such as NATURE ONE and MAYDAY, the Dutch mastermind the likewise highly successful "Masters of Hardcore" parties in Holland. For a whole night 13,000 people will be dancing on three areas, each named after the dominant style of music they present: "Masters of Hardcore", "Hardstyle Prison" and "Hardtechno Force". The sounds driving the floors will be delivered by a line-up of artists comprising a mixture of veteran maestros and newcomers. And ones who have recently been attracting a lot of attention with their particularly influential releases. Some 40 artists in all will be appearing. The "Pet Duo" is South America's most dynamic hardtechno act, while "Crypsis" from Holland is regarded as the meteoric sensation for hard style of the last year. A status which the two Dutch DJs “Korsakoff” and “Outblast” have enjoyed for a long time now. Both of them are currently the biggest names in the hard-core scene. “Angerfist” have also got a huge fan community and with their live act have shown the world that their performance can assume the proportions of a rock concert. “It might all have martial overtones to the outsider but the scene is actually very peaceful. Despite the hard sound it’s all about partying together, as it is with the other electronic music styles”, explains Oliver Vordemvenne. “It’s no problem at all to be a part of this community. Nationality doesn’t come into it either because along with mainly German and Dutch fans, visitors from France, Luxembourg and Belgium make their way to the Ruhr area as well.” Hard core, hard techno and hard style not only test the stamina of the ravers but are also a major challenge for the sound engineering. The trademark of this music is a deep, distorted and fast bass. So to make sure the visitors can enjoy their favourite music to the full in an acoustically immaculate setting, numerous sound engineers go into action at SYNDICATE. That they do an outstanding job is shown by the fact that thanks to SYNDICATE the Westfalenhallen halls have acquired the reputation in the scene as “Europe’s Hardest Location”. Tickets can be obtained at all the regular
ticket outlets, on +49 (0)261 921 5840 and at
www.syndicate-festival.de The ticket allows you to travel to and from the venue free of charge on all types of “VRR” (Rhine-Ruhr) public transport (2nd class) within the VRR zone. www.vrr.de |
