In 2012 we could and should perform the 17th edition of the most beautiful and magnificent electronic music festival. However, it is still written in the stars whether we can celebrate the 17th edition of the Love Family Park in Hanau. Throughout the past few years there has been some resistance to do with the relatively conservative and little tolerant general public in Hanau.

There have been issues with noise pollution as well as security creating concerns. Another issue is the protection of the wildlife that lives in the area, in particular the rabbits which live in the close vicinity whose environment might be interfered by the festival.Above all it's about us, people who celebrate their most beautiful day of the year on the first weekend in July. Us, people who are accused of devouring drugs while being lazy monsters. Us, people who, allegedly, bother others the noise and litter which occurs on this celebration of moral break-up and lack of culture. For all of you, not living in Hanau, this is an unthinkable and ridiculous discussion. A conviction and demotion all of those who love the park so much.

As unreal as this resistance against the Love Family Park in Hanau seems to appear, it is effective. A citizens' initiative was founded, external parties influenced and two petitions have been passed over to the Hessian state parliament. No issues will remain untouched but it remains uncertain if the Love Family Park in Hanau 2012 can take place. A public discussion, focussing on drugs, arrests, protected landscapes and rabbit burrows is taking place. The happiness, love and passion which are at the core of what the Love Family Park represents, remain unmentioned and ignored. The initiative SAVETHEPARK2012 was founded in order to change this.

We want to show to everyone that,
+ there are tremendously more Love Family Park enthusiasts than there are Love Family Park antagonists.
+ this day is something inherently good and beautiful.
+ the Love Family Park in Hanau is an important and indispensable piece of international youth culture.
+ every resistance against the park is an affront and act of intolerance and ignorance against the younger generations.
+ the PARK in Hanau is something outstanding for an unbelievable amount of people and something we want to experience, enjoy and celebrate for a long time.
