Avid has been honored with two 2010 Electronic Musician Editors’ Choice awards for Pro Tools 8 and Sibelius 6 software.

Featured in the January 2010 issue, Electronic Musician gave top honors to Pro Tools 8 in the DAW category, citing the software’s quality and quantity of features, including its expanded virtual instruments and effects plug-in collection, Elastic Pitch, redesigned user interface, Sibelius-based score editor, and MIDI editor.

In the Notation Software category, the editors gave top honors to Sibelius 6, citing its new Magnetic Layout tool (which helps clean up your score) and ReWire support (which links Sibelius to Pro Tools and other DAWs) as defining features.
